Associate researcher / Postdoc (m/f/x) job with TECHNISCHE UNIVERSITAT DRESDEN (TU DRESDEN)

To TU Dresden, Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Institute of Electromechanical and Electronic Design offers a project position as

Research associate / Postdoc (m/f/x)
(subject to personal qualification, employees are paid according to salary group E 13 TV-L)

departure as soon as possible. The position comprises 80% of full-time weekly hours and is limited until March 31, 2025. The period of employment is governed by Section 2 (2) of the Fixed-Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz – WissZeitVG).

Tasks: The research and teaching activities of the Institute include the automation of electronic design through the development of algorithms, methods and software tools. The objective of your work will be to support the design of new long, intelligent and flexible electronic systems within the framework of a research project. These systems are based on flexible printed circuit boards (PCBs) and are intended to replace conventional cables, for example in catheters, and enable new products for applications with complex electrical connections. The main task is to develop a new software tool for geometric modeling and electrical simulation of these three-dimensionally shaped flexible electronics. Design rules for flexible electronics are then created based on the simulation results.
