Remembrance Day services taking place in Wallaceburg and Dresden
Remembrance Day services 2022 are taking place in Wallaceburg and Dresden.
Wallaceburg Legion Branch 18 officials say a program at Wallaceburg District High School begins at 9:30 a.m. Friday, November 11, 2022.
People are asked to be in your place before this time.
At the end of the presentation, family and business wreaths will be laid.
Wallaceburg Legion officials say at 10:40 a.m. a parade will form and march toward the Cenotaph.
The official Remembrance Day Ceremony and laying of Government, Army and Legion wreaths will take place.
At the end of the service, everyone is invited to return to Branch 18 for a time of fellowship, Wallaceburg Legion officials say.
Dresden Legion Branch 113 officials say their Remembrance Day service begins at 11 a.m. at the Cenotaph.
A Remembrance Day banquet will also be held at 6:30 p.m. at the Dresden Legion.
Tickets are $15 each.

Remembrance Day hours in Chatham-Kent
Municipal offices and most services will be closed on Friday, November 11 in recognition of the Remembrance Day holiday.
The other services are scheduled as follows:
Cemeteries: Cemetery staff will be on call for funeral homes that require sales as needed.
Ride CK: Services will not operate on Friday, November 11.
Emergency Services: Police, fire and ambulance are operational 24 hours a day, every day, and can be reached by dialing “911” for emergency calls only. The Fire Administration office will be closed on Friday, November 11 and will reopen on Monday, November 14 at 8:30 a.m.
Arts and culture: The Chatham-Kent Museum is open on November 11. The Chatham Capitol Theatre, Kiwanis Theatre, Box Office, Chatham Cultural Centre, Thames Art Gallery, ARTspace, Milner Heritage House and Ridge House Museum are closed on November 11.
Entegrus and Public Utilities Commission: PUC will be closed. The emergency number is 519-352-6300.
Health and Family Services Building: The Health and Family Services Building will be closed on November 11, including offices for Employment and Social Services, Housing Services, Child Care children and early childhood and public health.
Emergency Rapid Rehousing Program: Evenings, weekends and holidays, please call the Homeless Helpline after hours at 519-354-6628 for homeless emergencies in Chatham-Kent. This number is available 24/7.
EarlyON: All EarlyON programs are closed on Friday, November 11.
Riverview Gardens: The reception and administrative offices will be closed on Friday November 11th. The nursing staff can be reached 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at 519-352-4823.
Libraries: Library services will not be available on Friday, November 11.
Public Health King Street: Public Health King Street, located at 177 King St. E., Chatham will be closed on Friday, November 11. Essential after-hours public health services are available by calling 1-866-446-8207.
Provincial Offenses Court will be closed on Friday, November 11. Normal business hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. will resume on November 14.
Pools: Blenheim Gable Rees Rotating Pool and Wallaceburg Sydenham Pool will be open with their regular hours on Friday 11 November.
Garbage and Recycling: Garbage and recycling collection services for the week of November 11 will be delayed by one day. Please see the Recycling and Waste Collection Guide for more details.
Transfer stations: Harwich and Wallaceburg transfer stations will be closed on Friday 11 November. All other transfer stations will be open during regular hours.
Leaf & Yard Depots: All Leaf and Yard depots will be closed on Friday November 11th.

Remembrance Day Hours at CKHA
Certain health care services offered at the Chatham and Wallaceburg sites of the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance will be modified on Friday, November 11, 2022 in recognition of Remembrance Day.
Not all outpatient diagnostic tests will be available on Friday, November 11, 2022. These services will be staffed to meet inpatient and emergency needs.
Ambulatory Care Services, Ambulatory Rehabilitation Services, Pre-Surgical Screening Services, Diabetes Education Center, TIA and CAD Clinics, Pulmonary Function Lab, Ambulatory Laboratory Services, Records health and patient appointment desks will be closed on Friday, November 11, 2022.
The Chatham-Kent Mental Health and Addictions Program Outpatient Department will be closed on Friday, November 11, 2022. The Addiction Medicine Rapid Access Clinic will be closed on Friday, November 11, 2022. For any crisis immediately, please call the crisis line at 1-866-299-7447 or go to the nearest emergency room.
The Elston Pharmacy, located on the Chatham site, will be closed on Friday, November 11, 2022.
The oncology/chemotherapy department will be closed on Friday, November 11, 2022.
The business office and cashier’s office will be closed on Friday, November 11, 2022. Please note that there are two money changers in the building to allow change.
Hemodialysis care will be open on Friday, November 11, 2022.
The COVID-19 Assessment Center, located at 10 Grand Avenue plaza in Chatham will be open on Friday, November 11, 2022.
