The Technische Universität Dresden (TUD), as a university of excellence, is one of the most important and dynamic research institutions in the country. Founded in 1828, it is today a leading university with a global vocation and rooted in the region, as it focuses on the great challenges of the 21st century. It develops innovative solutions for the world’s most pressing problems. In research and academic programs, the university unites the natural and engineering sciences with the humanities, social sciences, and medicine. This wide range of disciplines is a particularity, facilitating interdisciplinarity and the transfer of science to society. As a modern employer, it offers attractive working conditions to all employees in education, research, technology and administration. The objective is to promote and develop their individual abilities while allowing everyone to reach their full potential. TUD embodies a university culture characterized by cosmopolitanism, mutual appreciation, thriving innovation and active participation. For TUD, diversity is an essential characteristic and quality criterion of an excellent university. Accordingly, we welcome all applicants who wish to commit their achievements and productivity to the success of the entire institution.

  • data-driven modeling and/or bio-mimetic design of molecular communication networks;
  • analysis of known and new molecular communication networks in systems biology using computer simulation;
  • analysis of noise characteristics and the complexity of molecular communication pathways in living cells;
  • equation-free prediction of network behavior using machine learning;
  • inference of mathematical models from measurement data such as microscopy images and/or mass spectrometry data;
  • design focus for robust systems identification of stochastic feedback networks.
